composition should be as free as home cooking

I almost missed my opportunity to study composition, but you don’t have to.

I am compiling as many sketches and notes as possible for you to download for free, though supplemental resources and certainly vague or idiosyncratic nonetheless, but certainly free. We as musicians have a duty to one another, and with awareness of the fact that engaging with concert music-with a focus on sheet music specifically- is somewhat rare or a means to an end for many musicians, this compilation will include fragments of all my favorite homebrew-ideas in hopes that it inspires you to push a little further, dig a little deeper.

I will try my best to organize these pdf’s to some degree, but let me be honest, my process is extremely erratic. I will often jump from idea to idea, or reuse old manuscript paper to not be wasteful. The way it plays out is often an internal dialogue that I wanted to put to paper, complete with detailed, highly critical text descriptions and a gradual refinement of older ideas that rotate with the season
